Danfoss Joins Cross-Sector Climate Commitment to Drive Supply Chain Decarbonisation
In a significant step towards a decarbonised future, Danfoss Climate Solutions has joined organisations across the UK’s energy, transport, and built environment supply chains in launching a new Climate Commitment. This initiative, developed by BEAMA under its BEAMA 2050 Connected platform, aims to strengthen alignment, accountability, and measurable progress toward Net Zero.
The BEAMA 2050 Connected Climate Commitment provides a shared framework for science-based targets, governance integration, circular economy principles, and value chain collaboration. As Scope 3 emissions become central to corporate climate strategies, supply chain organisations face increasing regulatory attention, customer expectations, and reporting complexity. This Commitment establishes a structured, industry-led mechanism to move from ambition to coordinated delivery.
A Unified Supply Chain Approach
Signatories, including Danfoss, commit to:
- Reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions.Setting science-based targets aligned to 1.5°C
- Embedding sustainability into governance
- Integrating circular economy principles
- Engaging responsibly in policy development
- Collaborating to strengthen value chain alignment
Endorsed by both CEF and Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN), the initiative reflects growing cross-sector momentum toward collaborative climate leadership.
“At Danfoss Climate Solutions, we're all about making a real difference. Collaboration is key to achieving a decarbonised future, and we're committed to leading the way. By integrating sustainability into everything we do, we're not just creating low-carbon jobs; we're setting the stage for economic growth and global competitiveness. Together, we can make lasting changes that benefit everyone,” said Craig Housten, General Manager, Danfoss.
