We see a future where energy transition is fossil free. To make this vision a reality, an intelligent power electronics ecosystem is needed. Are you the missing piece in the puzzle? Can you help us achieve ambitious goals?

Our mission is to build a strong ecosystem that drives intelligent, sustainable, and cost-effective use of energy, and which strengthens the competitive advantage of its members in the global market.

The Fossil Free Future program is driven by the intelligent power electronics ecosystem, in which we partner with companies with suitable expertise to implement and execute research and development projects in our three focus areas. We also aim to find different research partners to build an even stronger collaboration – having the latest research knowledge available is vital for the success of the ecosystem.

The ecosystem will focus on building charging and energy storage solutions, and enabling OEMs to connect to the grid – all to significantly increase energy efficiency, reduce energy consumption, and optimize the use of energy. What Danfoss brings to the table is energy conversion and systems expertise, and a component and system supplier perspective. Our specialty is improving the efficiency of mobile equipment.

We are looking for innovative partners to join our ecosystem in all areas of green energy transition and smart energy management.

We look forward to growing the ecosystem with new and existing international partners who share our values and want to explore and develop new fossil-free solutions for the electrification of energy transition. In the ecosystem, the responsibilities will be shared between different parties.

Business Finland

Business Finland is a Finnish public sector organization that provides innovation funding and internationalization services and promotes investments in Finland. Business Finland's challenge competition, in which Danfoss successfully participated, invites leading global companies to become drivers of ecosystems formed by companies of different sizes and other actors. The latest challenge competition took place in 2022 and is largely funded by the EU's recovery fund.
